本机是用来测试鞋底摩擦，来判定其鞋子的止滑性，鞋底的制作是由不同成份胶料混练，或因止滑剂添加数量、种类的不同，使测试时，产生摩擦系数的不同，亦可做出比较来做为研发配料之依据。
