High Current Precision Shunts- 500 AMPS & 1000 AMPS
- FOR CALIBRATION USE
- GOOD LONG TERM STABILITY
- 0.05%ACCURACY
The CS-500 and CS-1000 Precision Shunts are designed for demanding measurement of higher currents.
Based on Leeds & Northrup's designs, these shunts provide good long term stability.
Heat generated by the measurement current is adequately dissipated by the large surface area of the exposed elements.
The CS-500 and CS-1000 are open, parallel blade construction. They have been found to agree well between DC and 50/60 cycles, but are not recommended for pulse or high frequency use.
For lower currents, please see our CS-1 through CS-300 shunts, or the MCS Multiple Current Shunt, a temperature-stabilized set of shunts from 1 A to 300 A.
All shunts are supplied with ISO 17025 accredited, NIST traceable calibration at 25, 50 & 100 % rated current.
For the highest precision applications, a RTD temperature sensor can be bonded to the shunt element, and full current / temperature characterization can be provided. Please see the Temperature Option for an example of this characterization. Type T and thermistor sensors are also available.
