1、椰壳活性炭属于果壳活性炭类别，其主要特点是密度小、手感轻，拿在手里的重量明显比煤质活性炭轻。相同重量的活性炭，椰壳活性炭体积一般大于煤质活性炭。
2、椰壳活性炭形状一般为破碎颗粒状、片状，而成型活性炭，如柱状、球状活性炭，多为煤质炭。
