威盛ARTiGO A800采用超薄设计，机箱尺寸仅为12.0cm x 12.5cm x 3.0cm（宽x长x厚）。该系统功耗超低，可适用于各种嵌入式应用，包括酒店自动化、流媒体、数字标牌及医护监控等应用。这款超薄型系统可在各种环境中使用，既可以放在显示器后面，也可以使用尺寸为7.5cm x 7.5cm的VESA支架固定在墙壁上，还可以摆放在其他设备旁边。
威盛ARTiGO A800系统套件搭载800MHz飞思卡尔ARM Cortex-A8系统芯片，整合两个集成GPU，支持双屏显示及3D/2D显卡加速，可在1080p分辨率下提供全高清回放支持。板载存储包括1个4GB eMMC 闪存，可通过microSD卡连接器进行扩展。威盛ARTiGO A800提供主板开发支持包（BSP），支持Linux 2.6及Android（2.3）系统。
独特的双侧海岸线I/O布局，提供1个HDMI接口、1个VGA显示接口、1个10/100网络接口、4个USB 2.0接口、音频接口（音频输入/输出及麦克风接口）及5V直流电源接口。板载USB排针接口可额外支持1个VNT9271 Wi-Fi USB模块。
