Lubricating grease for low-speed rolling and sliding bearings
exposed to high loads Description:
COSTRAC AK 1502 is a lubricating
grease with a high-viscosity mineral
base oil (ISO VG 1500) and aluminum
complex soap as a thickener.
Highly efficient EP and AW additives
ensure that this lubricating
grease has a high load-carrying
capacity and good antiwear
properties.
COSTRAC AK 1502 is very adhesive,
resistant to water, and has a
good anticorrosion effect. Application:

exposed to high loads, e.g.
– Spherical roller bearings in
pressure rollers of BEPEXcompactors
– Spherical and cylindrical roller
bearings for load and pressure
rollers in rotary kilns used in the
base material industry
Spherical roller bearings in
sugar cane mills and preceding
crushers Application notes:
Sliding bearings (So number > 1
and V 1.8 m/s), e.g. in forging
presses
Pivoting bearings
Curved teeth couplings
Taper grid resilient couplings
Swivel bearings, e.g. in
construction machines
In all these applications there are
high mechano-dynamical loads as
well as other critical operational and
environmental conditions, e.g.
shock-type loads
vibrations
oscillations high temperature
dust
humidity
These adverse operating conditions
require a lubricating grease with a
very high base oil viscosity in order
to achieve a favourable ratio of at operating temperatures. The
highly effective antiwear additives
must ensure reliable protection
against increased wear in the mixed
friction stage (e.g. at very low
speeds, and during starting and
stopping of the rolling bearings).

applied by means of automatic
