莫代尔（Modal）是奥地利兰精公司（Austria Lenzing）生产的新一代纤维素纤维，莫代尔纤维是由山毛榉木浆粕制成。是一种具有高强力与高湿系数的纤维素纤维。具有超强吸湿性能和高强力。纤维均匀的特点，湿强力约为干强力的59%，优于粘胶的性能，具有较好的可纺性与织造性。莫代尔纤维的优点是将天然纤维的豪华质感与人造纤维的实用性合二为一。它具有棉的柔软，丝的光泽。而且吸水透气性都优于棉，同时可在传统的染整设备进行加工。因此，莫代尔纤维可采用其它纤维素纤维相同的染料，而且具有较高的上染率。织物颜色明亮，饱满，印花图案分色清晰。莫代尔纤维的另一特点是可与其他纤维混纺。如：羊毛，羊绒， 棉，麻，丝，聚酯纤维等。一方面可以提高纺纱的强度，降低不均率。另一方面可以提升布料的的品质，便面料能保持柔软，顺滑，充分呵护肌肤，使肌肤享受前所末有的舒适感觉。
