Reliable piston measuring principle – ideal for low switching points
The DW-K has been developed e.g. for the monitoring of coolant recirculation systems with low flow rates. Compact and ideal for switching points between 0.1 and 2.5 l/min. In accordance with the wishes and requirements of our customers. The principle: A special piston, fitted with permanent magnets, is held in a defined position by a spring. Depending on the rate of flow, the medium slides the piston against the strength of the spring. If the flow exceeds or falls short of the present switch point, the reed switch outside the medium is activated without contact via the permanent magnet. The construction is absolutely leakproof, and can easily be disassembled for any cleaning that needs to be done. The special piston that is pided into a measuring and guiding section combines precise switching with high reliability. Furthermore, this flow switch is insensitive to contamination and calcification.

Proven functional principle – consequently improved
DW-L offers a cost-effective and yet flexible option to monitor the flow. The basic version of the device is completely made of plastic. Special variants allow combining it with metals for different applications.
The device works according to the paddle principle. The paddle is fixed on a bearing and protrudes into the flow. A magnet is attached to the opposite side. A second, external magnet repels the paddle magnet. This produces a restoring force. This force may be set by changing the distance between the magnets by means of a screw so that the switching point of the device can be adjusted easily and precisely. A reed switch fixed to the outside is actuated contact-free by means of the magnet on the pendulum.

The DW-R model series functions very reliably in accordance with the dynamic pressure principle. If the flowing medium meets the circular pressure plate at the end of the pendulum, the pendulum system is moved. The pendulum system is supported by a pre-stressed leaf spring so that it can be swiveled without friction. A permanentmagnet at the end of the pendulum system operates a movable reed contract (protective gas contact). This switching unit is located outside the medium.

Proven measuring method
Flowswitch with adjustable switching point and optical switching display using glow lamp. The DW-N is based on the extremely reliable way deflection system. The pendulum system with the pressure plate (deflector) is moved by the flowing medium against the strength of a spring. A metal bellow seals the system from the medium to the measuring and display part. The movement transmission is done by force. A micro-switch arranged in the measuring part and a control lamp are activated. Corresponding switching processes are triggered by this micro-switch.
If the T-part of the DW-N device types is affected by calcification, debris or dirt, there is a message ‘no throughflow’. This means that it is virtually impossible for the system to stop in a position in which flow is indicated but where there is none.
