This aFe Power Twisted Steel, Cat-Delete Down Pipe
eliminates the catalytic converter for maximum exhaust flow for the popular 2012
BMW 328i with the N20 turbo motor. In recent dyno testing, this race pipe
produced 13hp and 29lbs. x ft. torque and outflowed the factory down pipe by
287%. This system uses a 4" diameter tube and progressively tapers to increase
exhaust velocity and usable torque. This high performance race pipe is
constructed out of lightweight, TIG-welded 4" stainless steel. Note: Does not
fit vehicle with N26 engine. N26 engine is SULEV (super low emission) version of
N20
Tig-Welded: 100% TIG-Welded by certified craftsmen for race proven strength and durability. TIG-Welding provides the strongest welds reducing stress cracks.
Tapered Design: A unique 4" tapered design is used to increase exhaust velocity and increase usable torque. This means more aggressive throttle response and increased passing power.
Factory O2 Sensor locations: This down pipe uses factory mounting locations for the O2 sensors.
Hassle-Free Installation: All hardware and brackets are included for a hassle-free installation. This unit also comes with a lifetime warranty.
aFe down pipes are engineered and manufactured in our Corona, California manufacturing facility.
Note: This is a "Race Only" product used solely for competition. Its use is limited to closed-course and open-course racing that is formally sanctioned by a recognized racing organization. Any other use including recreational off-road use could be in violation of local, state and federal laws. A check engine light will emit and aFe recommends using a programmer but it is not necessary.
