HDMI+USB KVM单网线延长器包括发送器和接收器两部分组成，发送端将高清HDMI音视频输入信号以及控制信号进行合并转换，驱动放大，然后转换成适合单根超五类线传输的高速差分信号对进行传输，接收器完成对接收高速差分信号的均衡放大，控制信号分离，电平调节，然后通过标准HDMI视频接口输出。本产品还提供USB HID鼠标及键盘回传，反向红外遥控信号回传，和双向RS232 UART回传，单一设备和单网线实现HDMI+KVM 50米延长功能。
