LVD即为低电压指令，指令名：协调各成员国有关设计用于特定电压限值内的电气设备法律的1973年2月19日理事会指令73/23/EEC Council
Directive 73/23/EEC of 19 February 1973 on the harmonization of the laws of
Member States relating to electrical equipment designed for use within certain
voltage limits

LVD低电压指令（Low Voltage
Directive 2006/95/EC），LVD 的目标为确保低电压设备在使用时的安全性。指令适用范围是使用电压为交流在50V至1000V和直流75V至1500V之间的电器产品，
此指令包含此设备的所有安全规则，包括防护因机械原因造成的危险。设备的设计和结构应保证在按其预定用途，在正常工作条件下或故障条件下使用时不会出现危险，特别是对下列危险进行评估：[1]

1）电击（Electric Shock）；

2）危险能量（Energy hazard）；

3）火灾（Fire）；

4）机械和热的危险（Mechanic and
heat hazard）；

5）辐射危险（Radiation hazard）；

6）化学的危险（Chemical Hazard）。
