94年的片子，题材在今天看来，依然还是有些动人的。只是那时候还在约定“28岁还单身，我们就结婚”，现在怎么地也要把年纪提升到35岁吧。28岁？还都是小孩子呢，没有基础。
其实我想说的不是这个，我想说的是文化。片中一群人坐在餐厅里唱起歌剧片段，从而感染到整个餐厅的人都参与到大合唱里的镜头最让我触动。这是一种氛围，这种氛围经常出现在欧美的电影中，即使带着艺术的夸张，依然值得思考。中国有没有这样的一首情歌，经典到所有年龄的人都耳熟能详，并且能够在每次唱起都触动心弦，让陌生人产生共鸣、让相爱的人相拥相吻、让所有在场的人都融入其中，像温馨歌剧中的一幕场景呢……当然，或许是我孤陋寡闻了。
I thought this movie was an absolute romantic comedy (romcom) before I watch it, I still thought so when I was half way through it. But at the end, when Julianne didn't end up with her love and best friend Michael, I felt so different from after watching a romcom. I felt a little sad.
The movie is indeed very funny, especially when George showed up to help Julianne, I laughed as if I was crazy. But as the movie went on I started to sense that Michael may not choose Julianne in the end. It’s really sad when Julianne gave her little speech finally on Michael’s wedding and how Michael said good bye and left with the bride.
No doubt that if Julianne and Michael get together, they would have been perfect for each other. But the timing is so important, once you missed the chance, once there is someone else, there is no coming back.
