鲍尔环填料是一种新型填料,是针对拉西环的一些主要缺点加以改进而出现的，是在普通拉西环的壁上开八层长方形小窗，小窗叶片在环中心相搭，上下面层窗位置相互交搭而成。它与拉西环填料的主要区别是在于在侧壁上开有长方形窗孔，窗孔的窗叶弯入环心，由于环壁开孔使得气、液体的分布性能较拉西环得到较大的改善，尤其是环的内表面积能够得以充分利用。
