The SE8801 is a very low dropout three terminalregulator andspecifically designed for today'selectricity meter applications. There are two distinctrequirements for the power supplies for the electricitymeters. Thefirst requirement is lowpowerconsumption. The second is low noise. Most of thepower supplies in the market could only satisfy onerequirement, but not both of them at the same time.The SE8801 is now the first IC in the market that isable to satisfy both requirements.
