氟橡胶(fluororubber)是指主链或侧链的碳原子上含有氟原子的合成高分子弹性体。氟原子的引入，赋予橡胶的耐热性、抗氧化性、耐油性、耐腐蚀性和耐大气老化性，在航天、航空、汽车、石油和家用电器等领域得到了广泛应用，是国防尖端工业中无法替代的关键材料。自从1943年以来，先后开发出聚烯烃类氟橡胶、亚硝基氟橡胶、四丙氟橡胶、磷腈氟橡胶以及全氟醚橡胶等品种。
氟橡胶具有优良的物理机械性能。26型氟橡胶一般配合的强力在10~20MPa之间，扯断伸长率在150~350%之间，抗撕裂强度在3~4KN/m之间。23型氟橡胶强力在15.0~25MPa之间，伸长率在200%~600%，抗撕裂强度在2~7MPa之间。一般地，氟橡胶在高温下的压缩变形大，但是如果以相同条件比较，如从150℃下的同等时间的压缩变形来看，丁和氯丁橡胶均比26型氟胶要大，26型氟橡胶在200℃×24小时下的压缩变形相当于丁橡胶在150℃×24小时的压缩变形
