STEERING BOXES
SERVOCOM – is a compact box system operating according to the recirculating balls principle. It is provided with control valve and hydraulic steering limiting device.
SERVOCOMTRONIC – based on the same operating priciple as SERVOCOM and, besides, through a system of electronic and electro-hydraulic transducers, it is correlated to the vehicle speed. It is used particularly on auto-trucks, buses and coaches.
The main advantage it offers is that the oil flow and pressure never drop, thus allowing for the vehicle trajectory correction any moment.
It is already widely used with 2- pump steering systems, and increasingly used with 3- pump systems, particularly on vehicles with big load on the steering axles.
SERVOCOM RAS and RAS EC systems are used on vehicles with rear carrier axle allowing for a much easier negotiation of curves and thus considerably enhancing their roadability and maneuvrability.

UNIVERSAL JOINTS
The utilization of ZF universal joints allow for a safe torque transmission and a high degree of compensating the misalignments existing between the steering column and the steering gear. These universal joints feature a 68º inclination angle available and a maximum rotational diameter of only 76 mm.
SENSORS
In order to meet the high safety standards of the steering systems, ZF- made rotating- angular- and linear sensors (from the power cylinders) are based on an inductive measuring principle which allows for an accuracy down to the millimetre.
Thanks to their great flexibility, these versions ideally fit into the rear axle steering systems.
The highest degree of integration is reached by fitting the angular rotation sensor into the steering gear.

ZF Duoplan two- stage gear boxes can be used both for alternating current- and for direct current motors.
The gear boxes shall be flange- mounted to the engine, and, thanks to the output bearings perfect design, they are much more capable of withstanding high radial forces than belt drives fitted direct to the drive shaft.

New Servoplan lines: High QualityThe new types developed, namely an Economy line for applications in the field of goods handling and a high quality two- stage line aimed for automation, come to round up the family, making it a complete range of planetary gear boxes.
Servoplan family is adapted to almost all the automation domains, for instance, for accurate positioning, in the packing industry, wood processing industry or for the machine tools supply lines.
The Economy Series of the ZF – Servoplan planetary gear box has been designed for the direct fitting to servomotors and can be adapted to almost all engine types.
The motive force is transmitted directly, with a low clearance, thus facilitating rapid and extremely accurate movement sequences.
The servomotor output shaft is connected to the transmission central gear wheel by means of a sleeve coupling.
The central gear wheel drives three planetary transmissions within the planetary support, which rotate around the inner ring guide piece.
It is a compact design with high density energy release as a result of an equal power distribution among the three planetary transmissions. Performance reliability is partly given by the rugged gears.

Types ZF-Ecolift RME 310 and RME 410 are developed for passenger- and freight lifts. The revolutionary design type intended for cable elevators features clear advantages as compared to the previously applied gear boxes. Instead of a worm and wheel case, ZF-Ecolit benefits from the inherent advantages of the two-stage planetary transmission for motive force transmission to the cable bundle.
ZF-Ecolift is in keeping with the technical standard referring to elevators (TRA 200) TRA 220-229 and with the European standard referring to elevators DIN EN 81.
ZF-Ecolift can operate at engine speeds of 1000 rpm, 1500 rpm (standard speed) and 3000 rpm. With applications including the frequency inverter, speed can be increased or reduced as compared to the standard setting.
