The Huashi PACIFIC PDA9908E is a professional broadcast-grade DVB-TS stream multiplexer primarily designed for digital television systems. It supports applications across all DVB-S/T/C digital headend systems. Featuring 8 ASI input interfaces and 2 groups of ASI output interfaces, it can process 8 MPTS (Multi-Program Transport Streams) or SPTS (Single-Program Transport Streams) and generate a unified MPTS. The device supports the multiplexing of 256 PIDs (Packet Identifiers) or 50 programs, along with the mapping, transparent transmission, filtering, insertion, and generation of PSI/SI (Program Specific Information/Service Information) tables.
As an ASI stream multiplexer, it enables flexible multiplexing of the 8 input ASI streams to the output channels, allowing arbitrary reconfiguration of program names, program numbers, and PIDs. The input stream bitrate can reach up to 270Mbps, while the output bitrate supports up to 160Mbps. It also supports EPG (Electronic Program Guide) insertion, PSI editing, and NIT (Network Information Table) table insertion, making it one of the core devices in cable digital TV headends.
