工程塑料,PC阻燃,滴落剂B49Antidrip Agent)A. DescriptionChemguard-PTFE is an antidrip agent. After added into the thermoplastics, it’ll release high molecular weight PTFE microballs with 0.18μm diameter due to heat effect. The microballs fiberize and form cross-link network in the process of pressing and cutting. When burned, this network will contract, then consequently, trap the melted polymer, insulate oxygen, accelerate the carbonization of polymer, and therefore, makes the polymer flame-retarded. CG-PTFE own high Mw PTFE that can effectively fiberize and easily disperse into small particle to meet the antidrip purpose.

C. Picture explanation.
Here are the SEM photo of
(figure A): CG-PTFE antidrip agent
(figure B): dispersed Mw PTFE small particles of 6CJ,
(figure C): low Mw wax PTFE
A. B. C.
PTFE antidrip agent (figure A) has a perfect filament network, so that has the best flame-retardancy capability. Low Mw wax PTFE(figure C) cannot fiberize, and is neither flame-retardant nor antidrip agent.
