PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Octopol AD is primarily used as a corrosion inhibitor, antioxidant, friction reducer and antiwear/antiscuff additive. Some typical uses for Octopol AD are in compressor/engine/gear oils, greases, and synthetic lubes. The product is an excellent extreme pressure additive as well as an antioxidant and anti-wear additive in lubricating greases. It is a low ash additive compatible with greases, industrial and automotive gear oils. Octopol AD is used as an oxidation and corrosion inhibitor in all types of oils. Typical use levels are 1.0 – 4.0 percent by weight in lubricating greases and industrial gear oil.
Octopol AD components are listed or not required to be listed on the following: United States TSCA, Canadian DSL, Canadian NPRI: antimony compound, Australian AICS, Japanese MITI, Korean ECL, and the European EINECS.
STORAGE AND HANDLING:
It is recommended that product stored in a warehouse be used on a first-in, first-out basis.
Containers should be kept tightly closed. Protect from freezing. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Use with adequate ventilation.
Octopol AD is available in tank trucks as well as 55 gallon drums. The freight classification is
Petroleum Oil, NOIBN.
