SEMICOSIL 9212
Characteristics
SEMICOSIL® 9212 is an addition curing RTV-2 silicone
gel.

• Low volatile content
• Low viscosity
• Fast heat cure
• Good mechanical damping properties
Application
SEMICOSIL® 9212 is a dielectric gel especially
designed to seal, protect and preserve the electrical
characteristics of delicate electronic components (e.g.
bonded chips on hybrid components which are
exposed to extreme external influences).
Processing
Surface Preparation
The surface must be clean and free of contaminants
that will inhibit the cure of SEMICOSIL® 9212.
Examples of contaminants are sulfur containing
materials, plasticizers, urethanes, amine containing
materials and organometallic compounds, especially
organotin compounds.
