USB CPU16/CPU32 MULTILINK is a debug interface which allows a PC access to the Background Debug Mode (BDM) on Freescale 68HC16/683xx processors. It connects between a USB port on a Windows machine and the standard 10-pin debug connector on the target.
By using the USB CPU16/CPU32 MULTILINK, the user can take advantage of the background debug mode to halt normal processor execution and use a PC to control the processor. The user can then directly control the target??s execution, read/write registers and memory values, debug code on the processor, and program internal or external FLASH memory devices.
The USB CPU16/CPU32 MULTILINK works with P&E Microcomputer Systems' in-circuit debugger and flash programmer to allow debug and flash programming of the target processor. P&E has a set of interface libraries which allow the user to write their own Windows-based application that interacts with P&E's debug interface.
NOTE: This product is currently shipping with a maroon case, not the blue case that is pictured.
FEATURES:
· USB 2.0 interface from PC to Multilink allows for fast, easy programming and debugging, with the ease and compatibility of the USB interface.
· Draws power from USB interface-- no separate power supply required (draws less than 1mA from the target).
· Target Voltage: 1.8V-5.0V
· Compatible with 68HC16 and 683xx families of microcontrollers.
· Includes USB cable, Type A Male to Type B Male, 6-ft.
· Works with P&E's PROG, ICD, CASM/WinIDE software. For a complete 68HC16 package, which includes the USB-ML-16/32 interface, the PKG16Z-USB is available. For a complete 683xx package, which includes the USB-ML-16/32 interface, the PKG32Z-USB is available.
