本品是一种高效广谱杀菌剂，能抑制多种真菌，尤其对产生人体皮屑的真菌----卵圆皮屑芽孢菌具有独特的作用，不致因水解而对头皮造成刺激。其在酸性和微碱性介质中稳定。广泛用于洗发香波、沐浴露等日化产品中。建议用量0.3-0.6%。
