PC-PET是PC与PET的共混材料,通常以共混造料后,以粒料形状供应。如果只把两种料简单的混合后,直接注塑,效果很差,会出现分层现象
PC的优点是室温刚而韧,但高温的情况下,热变形严重。缺点是应力开裂,粘度大;PET长期使用温度可达120℃,电绝缘性优良,甚至在高温高频下,其电性能仍较好,但耐电晕性较差,抗蠕变性,耐疲劳性,耐摩擦性、尺寸稳定性都很好;这样共混后的材料PC-PET即保留了两者的优点
PC-PET具有较高的表面硬度,较高的刚性和韧性,也有较高的抗高温形的能力,也有较高的抗应力开裂能力;它的机械性能介于两者之间
PC/PET 合金在广泛的温度范围内有很高的冲击强度,在23℃时悬臂梁缺口冲击强度可达1000 J/m,在-20℃时仍可达到600J/m这样高的数值。此外它还有高刚性、耐磨、尺寸稳定、耐热性好、容易加工、耐化学药品性优良等特点。在汽油、机油中无应力开裂现象发生。该合金用于制造汽车保险杠等汽车部件、各种机械零件、医疗器械、运动器材及园艺工具等。
