粉状活性炭介绍

    以优质的木屑等为原料，采用氯化锌法生产，具有发达的中孔结构，吸附容量大、快速过滤等特性。主要适用于各种氨基酸工业，精制糖脱色、味精工业、葡萄糖工业、淀粉糖工业、化学助剂、染料中间体、食品添加剂、药品制剂等高色素溶液的脱色、提纯、除臭、除杂。
粉状活性炭的特点
     活性炭的主要成分是碳，含碳量约90%，通常是用各种植物碎料(木屑、椰壳及蔗渣等)或适当的煤或木炭为原料，经过特殊的加工处理制成。活性炭的内部有很多极微细的孔隙。孔隙的直径很小，故总表面积很大，有很强的吸附能力。因原料和制造方法的不同，活性炭的品种相当多，分别适用于不同的用途。粉状活性炭的微孔可以吸附低分子量的气体和溶液中的小分子，但分子量较高的分子不能进入微孔内；中孔提供进入微孔的通道，本身又能吸附分子量较高的物质；大孔则兼有提供通道和吸附的作用。如果用活性炭吸附小分子物质，例如某些气体(毒气)和低分子量的有机物，可以使用微孔较多的产品；但如果要吸附较大的分子，则要选用有较多中孔的产品。活性炭的孔隙的状况，决定于所用的生产原料及其成分、制造方法和条件等。
粉状活性炭的分类  

    粉状活性炭产品的外形主要有粉状和粒状两大类。粉状活性炭是非常微细的粉末，绝大部分可通过200目筛网，大部分可通过325目筛网，粉的尺寸在1～150μm之间(平均约40μm)；通常，炭粉越幼细，它对杂质的吸附速度越大。故常将活性炭产品进行高度的破碎和筛选，得到微细的粉末。粉状炭的缺点是再生比较困难，通常不再生使用，故消耗量较大(近年也有研究将它再生)。粒状活性炭通常都再生使用，消耗量较少。它有不定型颗粒状和柱状颗粒两种，粒度在0.5～4mm之间。前者是通过适当的破碎和筛选得到的，后者则是将原料通过造粒机压制成型的。
    用木屑为原料和用化学活化法通常制造粉状活性炭。颗粒活性炭多数是用煤或木炭为原料，粉碎后加粘合剂(如煤焦油、木素磺酸等)压制成型，经过干馏炭化，然后活化处理制成(或在活化前再打碎成适当的粒度)。
粉状活性炭的质量与性能
    粉状活性炭的质量有多项物理与化学的指标，主要的如：水分、灰分、酸溶物、各种金属和酸根的含量，以及它的吸附性能等。对于不同用途的活性炭，时常用不同的物质和方法来检验它的吸附性能，如亚甲基蓝吸附值、碘吸附值、焦糖吸附值、硫酸奎宁吸附值等。其中亚甲基蓝吸附值是最常用的。亚甲基蓝是一种深蓝色染料，对它的吸附量反映了活性炭吸附小分子物质的能力；具有大量微孔的活性炭，此值较高。焦糖吸附值(或称焦糖脱色率、或糖蜜吸附率)是反映活性炭对具有较高分子量的有色物质的吸附性能，性能良好的活性炭，此值达到100～110。

     国内外制造的活性炭，都有一类称为“糖用活性炭”的产品，它可用于糖厂，也可以用在其他类似的行业，如葡萄糖溶液及味精溶液的精制脱色等。它的主要特点是具有较多的中孔，因而适于处理含有较多大分子有机物的溶液。这种活性炭的焦糖吸附值比较高。
我国“糖液脱色用活性炭”的国家标准(GB/T13803.3－1999)规定，活性炭产品分为优级品、一级品和二级品三种。其水分都低于10％；焦糖脱色率分别高于100、90和80，灰分分别低于3％、4％和5％(用磷酸法生产的活性炭可在7％～9％，不分等级)，酸溶物分别低于1％、1.5％和2％，还有铁含量和氯含量的规定。它们的pH值都在3～5之间。

其他材质活性炭

    椰壳活性炭选用优质椰子壳为原料，黑色颗粒状，具有比表面积大，强度高，吸附性能高等优点，产品规格齐全，有不规则破碎和小颗粒等几个大类。

煤质颗粒活性炭以优质无烟煤为原料，采用先进工艺精制加工而成，外观呈黑色颗粒状，具有耐磨强度好，比表面积大，吸附能力强，易再生等优点。

    果壳活性炭是选用优质杏壳、桃壳、核桃壳、枣壳等果壳为原料，采用炭化、活化、过热、蒸气崔化等工艺精制而成，经先进系列生产工艺加工而成的一种活性炭。
