外形及性能
果壳活性炭为黑色，呈颗粒状。具有耐磨强度好、空隙发达、吸附性能高、强度高、易再生、经济耐用等优点。
椰壳活性炭为黑色颗粒状，具有机械强度高，孔隙结构发达，比表面积大，吸附速度快，吸附容量高，易于再生，经久耐用等特点。

活性炭用途
果壳活性炭被广泛应用于饮用水、工业用水和废水的深度净化生活、工业水质净化及气相吸附。还可用于工业气体脱硫、石油催化重整，气体分离、变压吸附、空气干燥、食品保鲜、防毒面具、解媒载体。产品更具脱色、提纯、除杂、除臭、去异味、载体、净化、回收等功能。
椰壳活性炭常用于1气相吸附，2精制气体：例如防毒面具、香烟过滤嘴、冰箱除臭器、汽车尾气处理装置，3饮用水的净化、除氯、除藻、吸氧、催化载体催化剂载体、和味精、柠檬酸、油类的脱色、白酒的降度除浊，精制以及光气合成用的触媒、氯化高汞、醋酸乙烯等合成工艺的触媒载体。4可用于碳浆法，堆浸法和黄金提取以及冶金工业中贵金属的分离和提取，也可用于水质净化。

柱状活性炭主要用于：1、气相吸附2、有机溶剂回收（苯系气体甲苯、、醋酸纤维行业中的丙酮回收）3、杂质和有害气体祛除，废气回收4、炼油厂、加油站、油库过量汽油回收。5.用于活性炭催化均四氯乙烷脱HCl制备三氯乙烯。
球状活性炭主要用于净化半水煤气、原料气天然气、油田气、煤气、及二氧化碳气体中的H2S及部分有机硫化物。
粉状活性炭适用于葡萄糖蔗糖、麦芽糖等糖类的脱色相精制，以及柠檬酸、胱胺酸、油脂、化工产品中大分子色素的去除、提纯和精制。在食品、医药、脱色、结晶、过滤、物质提纯等领域具有广泛用途。也是活性炭滤毡，活性炭泡沫塑料的主要材料 .

活性炭存放及运输主意事项
1、活性炭在运输过程中，防止与坚硬物质混状，不可踩、踏，以防炭粒破碎，影响质量。
2、储存应储存于多孔型吸附剂，所以在运输储存和使用过程中，都要绝对防止水浸，因水浸后，大量水充满活性空隙，使其失去作用。
3、防止焦油类物质在使用过程中，应禁止焦油类物质带入活性炭床，以免堵塞活性炭空隙，使其失去吸附作用。最好有除焦设备净化气体。
4、活性炭在储存或运输时，防止与火源直接接触，以防着火、活性炭再生时避免进氧并再生彻底，再生后必须用蒸汽冷却降至80℃以下，否则温度高，遇氧，活性炭自燃。
