矩鞍环有塑料矩鞍环,金属矩鞍环和陶瓷矩鞍环。
矩鞍环填料床层具有较大的空隙率,床层内多为圆弧形液体通道,减少了气体通过床层的阻力,也使液体向下流动时的径向扩散系数减小。矩鞍环与同种材质的拉西环填料相比,具有通量大、压降低、效率高等优点。比鲍尔环阻力小、通量大、效率高、填料强度和刚性较好,是目前应用最广的一种散堆填料。
陶瓷矩鞍环的形状介于环形与鞍形之间,因而兼有两者之优点,这种结构有利于液体分布和增加民气体通道。陶瓷矩鞍环由于其具有高的密度和优异的耐酸耐热性能,并且能耐除氢氟酸以外的各种无机酸、有机酸及有机溶剂腐蚀。
