Description:
EP-937 is a black, filled, one component epoxy with an extremely fast, elevated temperature cure schedule. Theviscosity and thixotropy of EP-937 has been specificallydeveloped for coating semiconductor devices on time pieceand calculator printed circuit boards. It may be applied bypneumatic powered syringe or by coating with a disposable applicator. EP-937 has outstanding adhesion to a variety ofmaterials. Typically, it is cured in an elevated temperaturecirculating air oven, or on a hot plate. It should not be used forcasting masses larger than 20 grams. (See gel and cure time information under Handling Properties.)
EP-937 is a one-component material, which requires nomixing, and it has excellent shock and moisture resistance.EP-937 is prepared under vacuum and contains no entrappedair or solvent. It cures quickly leaving no pits or voids on itssmooth surface. EP-937 has a mild, non-offensive odor.
Typical Properties:
The values listed below are averages and are not intended forspecification purposes. Contact Lord when establishing specifications. In the interest of achieving optimum properties, the cured physical properties were developed by using a cure schedule of one hour at 150°C. The choice of cure schedule will vary with the application. Users must establish their ownoptimum cure schedules.
