HISTORY
The diamond flexible products appeared in the world market about twenty
years ago and, since the beginning, Sorma has been leader in studying
solutions for the industrial application.
Our engineers have developed persified products ording to the application
and, nowadays, the diamond products are essfully used in all the flexible
abrasives’ applications.
TECHNOLOGY
Sorma diamond cloths are produced ording to the most advanced
technologies in a ISO9001 certified production unit. Every step of the
manufacturing process is constantly monitored in order to guarantee a
constant quality standard.
The select diamond powder is bonded to an extremely flexible and very
resistant backing. Diamond or Cbn crystals can be anchored by means of
two different technologies, using metal bond (nickel) or a high-resistant
polymer (resin).
FEATURES
Diamond is the hardest element known; its abrasive action enables an ideal
grinding of hard to process materials. Such a feature allows diamond cloth
tools to perform a more aggressive cutting action than any other abrasive
tool, with little effort. Thanks to its flexibility and to the spacing between the
islands (the design pattern), the diamond cloth can be easily cut with scissors.

Diaface® and Moonflex® are the standard products available. Both have been studied in order to heighten the product’s characteristics of flexibility and
to allow good dust removal.

The diamond cloth is manufactured in sheets form and afterwards
converted into different types of tools.
Different backings are also available ording to the application.
