XFP是10G可插拔光模块的一种主要标准协议。典型波长有850纳米,1310纳米,1550纳米,也支持CWDM,DWDM波分复用的各波长,主要应用在10G的SDH光传输网,10G光纤通道,10G以太网等领域。XFP拥有类似SFF-8472的数字诊断功能,而且功能更加强大,可以支持更多管理工具来实现模块的功能。XFP的多源协议(MSA)直接采用了XFI接口规范来定义电路接口,完全满足SDH光传输网OC-192 / STM-64 对9953.28 Mbit/s速率的要求。

The high performance cooled 1550nm cooled EML transmitter and high sensitivity PIN receiver. XFP transceiver provides an enhanced monitoring interface, which allows real-time access to device operating parameters such as transceiver temperature, laser bias current, transmitted optical power, received optical power and transceiver supply voltage.
