Harmony/INFI 90 Controllers
The Harmony/INFI 90 Bridge Controllers (BRC) comprise a family of microprocessor-based control modules that has the same form factor as previous generations of Network 90 and INFI 90 "rack" modules (e.g. COMs, MFCs, MFPs controllers). BRCs provide a modern, high speed, (optionally redundant) control platform to execute existing or expanded configurations from their previous generations. The term "Bridge" refers to the ability to interface the previous generations of Harmony/INFI 90 "rack" I/O to the new Industrial IT System 800xA S800 I/O modules. The BRC controllers support a rich family of function codes (including new S800 I/O function codes), configurations and application programs and interfaces.
In December 2004 the BRC 300 controller was released. This controller maintains Harmony/INFI 90 form, fit & functional requirements including your existing control application. The controller is based on RISC microprocessor technology - Motorola 32-bit Coldfire and maintains Harmony/INFI 90 hardware and software architecture of the system. The BRC 300 controller provides approximately (2x) function code execution rate vs. the BRC 100 and provides increased computing power for future control enhancements.
This new controller was designed and released to provide long-term control application viability and support for your Harmony/INFI 90 control applications ensuring ongoing control protection.
