Application:

Whenever high stress such as paint solvents, high and long-lasting temperatures are placed on a masking material,tesa4657 often provides the only fully satisfactory solution to the problem. This is because the flexible, stable, but nevertheless easy-to-tear backing becomes far less brittle and fragile than paper.tesa4657 has the following characteristics;

• Resistance to high temps. Values obtain in practise; up to 100ºC = constant resistance, up to 160ºC = 2 hours, 180ºC and over = 30 minutes
• Removal of the tape without any residue (it is advisable to removetesa4657 while it is still warm)
• Highly resistant to ageing
• Easy to work
• High resistance to paint solvents (when required by the conditions of application)
• Heat resistant masking during the production of vehicles and other machines (for screw tap holes, flange surfaces and drainage           bore-holes). Multiple stage oven drying is also possible.
• Partial masking during treatment with impregnating agents (base corners remain as bare metal)
• Partial masking during electrostatic powder coating
