本品为淡黄色至黄色颗粒，属于阴离子表面活性剂，是由憎水基和亲水基两部分构成的化合物，有优良的乳化力，渗透力和去污力，在热水中有良好溶解性，可在水中溶解，呈碱性。溶于乙醇呈碱性。不溶于苯。

4）优等品油酸钠用于选矿、织物防水、制皂；

6）分析纯（AR）油酸钠用于激活肝细胞中的蛋白激酶C；
