General Description
The AL7102B is CMOS digital clinical thermometer IC for
measuring body temperature from 32.0°C ~ 42.9°C (90°F
~ 109.9°F). It also provides stable alarm, fever alarm, the
last time measured temperature memory & automatic
power off function.

Functional Description
_Power SW: push PSW switch to power on or power off.
_When power on: push the switch, a "BI" sound for 0.125sec will be generated.
_When power off: push the switch, a "BI" sound for 0.125sec will be generated.
_When power off: the stand-by current?1μA.
_The frequency of buzzer is 5.3KHz or 8KHz
_Sensor use 503ET.
_When battery voltage is low (1.25V ±0.05V), the battery-low icon flashes at the speed of 1Hz , the buzzer alarm will
be disabled & the measure display will be blanked.
_During the process of mass production, in order to adjust the reference resistance (RF). The low TP1 pin connects to
VSS, the measured temperature will be the actual temperature. The LCD can be up or down changed, not always
show the higher one.
_There are 4 kinds of stable time to be selected; 4 sec, 8 sec, 16 sec and 32 sec.
_The stable time start counting when temperature is more than 32.0°C or 90.0°F and the temperature is kept on stable.
a. The LCD firstly all segments are on about 2 sec.
b. When KCF is connected with VSS and the PSW switch was pushed over 2 sec after power-on, then °C(°F) unit will be
exchanged.
c. After a. The LCD shows the last-time temperature about 1sec.
d. After b., The LCD shows the self-test temperature (37.0±0.1к) is around 1 sec. The °C(°F) mark will flash at the
speed of 1Hz.
e. After c., LCD shows the higher measured temperature always, the °C(°F) mark will flash at the speed of 1Hz.
f. If the temperature < 32.0°C (or 90.0°F), the display show Lo °C (or Lo °F).
g. The system will auto power off if the temperature keep Lo (< 32.0°C or 90.0°F) or system error ( LCD show “err”)
more than 60 sec.
h. If the temperature?43.0 °C (or 109.9°F), The display show Hi °C (or Hi °F).
i. The LCD always shows the highest temperature during the temperature measurement.
j. After power on, the measured temperature does not change within the stable time, the measurement will be
terminated and the °C(°F) mark flash stop. ( The temperature must more than 32.0°C or 90.0°F)
k. For AL7102B when measurement is stop and if the temperature?37.8°C (100°F). In this case the buzzer alarms
tone “BI-BI-BI--- BI-BI-BI---” for 10 sec, as follows:

-----------: 0.375sec
if the temperature < 37.80°C (100°F), the buzzer alarms “BI-BI-BI-BI-” for 10 sec, as follows:

l. It will automatically power off after measurement is stable and the system is still on more than 10 minutes (at Fsys =
32kHz) ( The final temperature must more than 32.0°C or 90.0°F)
m. When the measurement is terminated and the beep sound is stop, the measurement will start again if the temperature
continue rising before auto-power-off. But the °C (or °F) mark will not flash and the buzzer will not output also.
n. It will show ” Err”, when the sensor or reference resistor is open or short.
o. During bi sound is on 10 sec, the temperature is not measurement.
