ABB将为IFA2电网互联项目提供高压直流换流站
瑞士苏黎世，2017年4月7日——ABB宣布将为英国国家电网公司和法国电网公司（RTE）提供关键的高压直流技术，帮助两国电网实现互联。
高压直流的最大优势即是实现电力大容量、远距离的高效可靠传输，并将电力损耗降到最低
ABB参与的电网互联项目将有助于进一步整合英国和法国的电力市场。该输电线路功率达100万千瓦，起于英国南部汉普郡的奇灵（Chilling），穿过英吉利海峡，止于法国北部的拓北（Tourbe），全长达240公里。
ABB将为该项目提供两个轻型高压直流换流站，分别安装在法国和英国，并以海底电缆相连。换流站在输配电过程中，承担交直流转换功能。电力远距离输送时是直流，配送给用户之前，直流需要转换成交流电。高压直流的最大优势即是实现电力大容量、远距离的高效可靠传输，并将电力损耗降到最低。ABB的轻型高压直流技术还拥有一系列的优点，如调节电网波动、有故障时帮助电力恢复等。这些优点会给电网运营商带来更大经济效益，并为终端用户实现稳定电力供应。
