SWT854/884型系列拖拉机在国内同功率机型中处于水平。其配套动力为R4105T型柴油机，功率为85/88马力，该机型配套全液压转向系统，液压制动系统，液压悬挂系统采用II类、三点式、力位综合调节。变速箱采用啮合套换档，独立操作式的双作用离合器，作业档次合理（八个前进档，两个倒挡），配有符合国际标准的双速动力输出轴。驾驶室采用全悬独立组合式结构，轮距可调。该机型不但适合旱地的各种作业及运输固定作业，还可用于水田作业、工程作业等领域。SWT854/884机型是由SWT850/880 型拖拉机增加前驱动桥而构成的四轮驱动型拖拉机。该机最大优点是牵引力大幅度提高，更适合在山区和泥泞道路上作业。
