High-temperature long-term greases for rolling bearings Description:
Klüberalfa HX 83-302 and ...301 are
high-temperature long-term greases
with a fluorinated polyether base oil
and PTFE thickener. They have an
exceptionally flat viscosity-temperature
curve, which indicates a good
low-temperature behaviour. Both
greases ensure sufficient lubricity
at a starting temperature of – 60 °C. An even more important aspect of
the flat viscosity curve becomes
obvious in the lubrication of rolling
bearings subject to high temperatures,
especially if a high κ-value is
required: κ = ν/ν1 = ––––––––––––––––––––
The viscosity-temperature diagram
shows that the viscosity at 160 °C
is approx. 35 mm2/s and at 200 °C
approx. 26 mm2/s.
Klüberalfa HX 83-... lubricating
greases ensure an especially stable
lubricant film in rolling bearings
operating at particularly high temperatures. Application:
Both lubricating greases have been
developed for long-term lubrication
of rolling bearings subject to high
temperatures. They are ideal for
applications in rolling bearings
where a high base oil viscosity is
required and where the operating
temperatures are high. For example:
– chain and clip rollers in film stretching
or textile finishing machines,
– electric motor bearings and fan
motor bearings with a low starting
and a high operating temperature. Klüberalfa HX 83-302 is suitable for
the initial lubrication of rolling
bearings. Klüberalfa HX 83-301 is suitable for
the relubrication of rolling bearings
to regenerate hard used grease. Klüberalfa HX 83-301 is also suitable
for initial lubrication if the rolling
bearings / bearing housings are
sufficiently sealed. Application notes:
Prior to initial lubrication the friction
components must be free from oil,
grease or preservatives. Solvent
naphtha 180/220 is a suitable
cleaning agent. Upon cleaning, the
parts have to be dried thoroughly,
for example with oil-free pressurized
air. Then apply Klüberalfa HX 83- ...
immediately to prevent corrosion of
the friction components. Klüberalfa HX 83-... high-temperature
greases are only miscible with
other greases containing a fluorinated
polyether base oil (e.g.
BARRIERTA L 55/2). Commercial cleaners or solvents
are not suitable to remove or dissolve
Klüberalfa HX 83-... If required,
use Klüberalfa XZ 3-1, a
special dispersing, dissolving and
cleaning agent. Pertinent product

The minimum shelf life is approx.
36 months if the product is stored in
the original closed container in a
