电容活性炭是一种新型高吸附活性炭，放电时利用移动导体间的电子（而不依靠化学反应）释放电流，从而为设备提供电源。主要用于电容器（也称双电层电容器、电化学电容器），具有超大的比表面积，电化学性能好，容量高等特点，也在电动车辆、混合动力车辆、电动工具、电动玩具、铁路系统、电力系统等广泛的领域得到应用。
Activated
carbon for supercapacitors is a new type of high-adsorbability activated carbon
which releases electric currents by moving the electrons between the conductors
(rather than relying on chemical reaction) to provide the device with power.
Such activated carbon products are mainly used in supercapacitor (also called
electrostatic double-layer capacitor and electrochemical capacitor), which has
the features of large specific surface area, good electrochemical performance,
high capacity, etc. This kind of product has also been used in a wide range of
fields such as electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles, electric tools, electric
toys, railway systems, power systems, etc.
