Kester 951 is a halogen-free, non-rosin organic fluxdesignedforwave soldering conventional and surface mountcircuitboardassemblies. The extremely low solids content (2.0%) andnatureofthe activator system results in practically NO RESIDUE leftontheassembly after soldering. Boards are dry and cosmeticallycleanasthey exit the wave solder machine. There are noresiduestointerfere with electrical testing. Kester 951exhibitsimprovedsoldering performance to minimize solder bridges(shorts)andexcessive solder defects. This flux is suitableforautomotive,computer, telecommunications and otherapplicationswherereliability considerations are critical. Thesurfaceinsulationresistance on soldered boards is higher thanthatprovided bytypical organic water-soluble fluxes. Kester951contains acorrosion inhibitor such that no corrosion productsareformed whenbare copper surfaces are exposed tohumidenvironments
